In contrast, Trump was his typical self. He once again called Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas” and offensively remarked that “the inner cities, in so many cases, are like living in hell.” Trump is ending this campaign exactly where he started: with hateful rhetoric and bigoted lies. Over the course of the past sixteen months, he has made a mockery of our democracy and has used his candidacy to instill fear in the hearts of voters. He is unqualified for the presidency and his enablers, including Kelly Ayotte, are unfit to represent this nation.
Hillary Clinton knows we are stronger together. Tomorrow, Americans can show once and for all that love trumps hate.

Our ruling
Trump said, “Beyonce and Jay Z, I like them, I like them. And you know what they do? I get bigger crowds than they do. It’s true. I get far bigger crowds.”
There is no question Trump is fixated on the size of his crowds.
And there is no question, this claim — as it relates to Beyonce and Jay Z — is incorrect.
We rate it False.

“Donald Trump just finished a rally in North Carolina, where his party has attempted to suppress the rights of thousands of voters. The Republican Party is proud of their efforts to make it harder to vote in the state: limiting early voting, avoiding the placement of voting sites from college campuses and cancelling the registration of thousands of voters, with an outsize effect on African American voters. These efforts by North Carolina Republicans reflect the racist and un-American tone of Donald Trump’s campaign, and it’s happening in the very place where Americans should be able to freely exercise their rights without intimidation—the voting booth.”
NYT Opinion: Five Ways Republicans Are Threatening Voting Rights
In North Carolina, where a court in July struck down a 2013 voter ID law whose restrictions took aim at black voters, Republicans on local election boards are busily cutting back early and Sunday voting hours, which are disproportionately used by African Americans.

Fortune: New Rules in These States Are Frustrating Voters
After the ruling, Democrats raised alarm when the executive director of the state Republican Party emailed GOP activists suggesting each county election board’s Republicans work to limit early voting hours, curtail Sunday voting and avoid placing voting sites on college campuses. A new spate of reports show a boiling crisis for Trump in his “second home” state. Florida’s Latino voters are heading to the polls in record numbers to repudiate Trump’s years of anti-immigrant, racist rhetoric and his dangerous campaign. And Trump’s offensive closing ad has been widely slammed as anti-Semitic by prominent Jewish groups.
Trump has done little to correct course. This weekend in Tampa, Trump kicked out a twelve-year-old with cerebral palsy from his rally. In Sarasota today, he claimed he would win the Latino vote because “the Cubans gave me the award,” lashed out at the Beyhive (Beyonce fans), admired a mask of his head, and bragged about his southern border wall. Don’t worry, Mexico will pay for it.
What an uplifting closing argument.

]]>“In yet another brutal attack on our democracy, Donald Trump tonight disturbingly suggested that ‘rank and file’ FBI agents will go rogue and continue to investigate this closed case. This is an especially disturbing comment considering the fact that Rudy Giuliani has already admitted to having a potentially illegal back channel with FBI agents. Here we are two days out from the election, and instead of coming up with actual solutions for the American people, Trump is spending his time conspiring about a closed case. On Tuesday, voters will choose love over hate and embrace Hillary Clinton’s vision for America over Trump’s pessimism.”
]]>Donald Trump chose one of the most repulsive people possible to open for him in Michigan tonight. Having Ted Nugent introduce him on stage shows that birds of a feather flock together. Ted Nugent recently called Hillary Clinton a ‘devilb*****,’ the president a ‘subhuman mongrel,’ and called for both of them to be ‘tried for treason and hung.’ These racist, offensive and violent direct attacks on fellow Americans and leaders of our free nation should disturb every voter in the country. The fact that Donald Trump knowingly and willingly associates himself with such a low-life like Ted Nugent confirms what we’ve known all along — that Donald Trump’s campaign appeals to the lowest common denominator, and there is nothing lower than Ted Nugent.
“In the end, the truth wins out. Despite more than a week of baseless attacks from the Trump campaign, today James Comey once again reaffirmed the conclusions he reached in July. Comey’s latest letter now makes clear that Donald Trump’s closing argument is a complete fraud and that Trump and the Republican Party have been dead wrong about this matter. It’s time for Republicans to finally accept the truth and drop their absurd obsession with this case.
“This entire episode has also raised deeply troubling questions about potential collusion between the FBI and the Trump campaign that now must be answered. On Friday, Trump campaign surrogate Rudy Giuliani admitted he knew about Comey’s original letter before Comey sent it. These leaks demonstrate clear violations of the Hatch Act, which was put in place to ensure that employees of the executive branch don’t use their time or taxpayer resources to participate in or influence elections. It’s critical that these leaks be investigated. The American people deserve to know the truth about this deeply troubling and potentially illegal conduct by both FBI officials and the Trump campaign.”
BACKGROUND: The American Legal Democracy Fund filed a complaint on Friday with the Office of Special Counsel calling for an investigation and prosecution of FBI personnel involved in the latest round of leaks intended to influence the outcome of the election.
