Adrienne Watson Named Correct The Record’s Communications Director

Friends and colleagues,

I’ve worked with Adrienne Watson at Correct The Record over the past year-and-half and have come to know a person with a skill set, tenacity and command of communications second to none.

Going forward, Adrienne Watson (aka “W”) will be the senior spokesperson and primary media contact for CTR, serving as our communications director.

I’m personally delighted to have the opportunity, along with David Brock, to empower this young millennial woman with a substantial role to play in the 2016 election cycle. This is personally fulfilling. W sets a standard that provides great confidence in our future.

In case you aren’t aware, Adrienne spent over a year as our team’s deputy communications director and director of surrogates.

We’re all thankful to work with Adrienne and know you will be, too.

She has a feel for the news cycle, a strategic sensibility, and a candid demeanor. She’s among the best at what she does, not just in the Beltway but nationwide.

Her Midwest no-nonsense, get-things-done approach reminds me of another Mid-western woman I know. In fact, she’s as passionate a defender of Hillary Clinton as she is of her beloved Hoosiers.  If you know her team allegiance, you know that’s saying something.

Adrienne previously served as press secretary in the office of Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly where she was the on-the-record spokeswoman on all national and defense-related media inquiries and led Senator Donnelly’s booking operation. Prior to her work for Senator Donnelly, Adrienne served as communications director to California Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee and the Committee on Homeland Security. Adrienne’s professional career began as an aide to Representative and Blue Dog Caucus Co-Chair Baron Hill of Indiana, where she served in a variety of roles.

I’m confident and pleased to move forward with W at the helm of the CTR Comms shop. Please join me in welcoming her.

Forward,
Burns
